“Heaven is declaring God’s glory; the sky is proclaiming God’s handiwork.
One day gushes the news to the next, and one night informs another what needs to be known.”
~Psalm 19:1-2

Some of the psalms are hymns that celebrate the splendor of God’s creation.
These are sentiments that remind us that every day is a gift.
Heaven declares God’s glory.
The sky proclaims God’s handiwork.
We can take time to observe the natural wonders of our world—sunrises and sunsets, stars and trees swaying in the wind, birdsong and flowers blooming.
We can remember God’s artistry and delight in God’s handiwork all around us.

Of course some days it is much easier to do this than others.
Some days are full of heartaches and headaches, let’s be real.

I recall reaching a point in my life (especially during stressful/busy seasons) when I had to reassure myself that the work, the problem, the issue, etc. would be there to come back to the next day.
Maybe going to sleep and trying again tomorrow was actually the right call after all.
Because one days flows into the next.
Or as L.M. Montgomery famously wrote in Anne of Green Gables, “Tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it . . . yet.”

Pastor Lauren
